Hi there!! I'm over from Kelly's Korner "meet new friends"! I live in the Fort Worth area, my blog background is the same as yours AND I just visited Canton for the very first time last weekend! It was amazing and I can't wait to go back when it is cooler. I love your blog...and that black front door is gorgeous! It's so neat to meet new people in the area! :)

Love the makeover! From the little you showed our houses are very similar in front. We only have a single door, no windows on the side, but we have a great big window to one side (that's the school room) and the other window is our girls' room. Glad to meet you! Great transformation and what a difference paint color can make! The baby poop brown comment made me smile. :-) Our home is also a 70's special with a front door very similar to yours, AND is currently brown. I can't wait to start painting...thanks for the inspiration!

i absolutely LOVE your headboards and lamps! i am making my husband do this same thing for your 2 boys room this weekend. my problem is i can not locate a wall sconce/lamp that looks simular to the ones you used in your boys' room.... can you help me by telling me where you purchased them and/or what name/brand they are???

Yes, you can wear them with jeggings. Also a sun dress, a skirt, etc. I have quite a few pairs of boots (I'm frugal too..I find them on ebay for A LOT less than in the store). My $500 Lucchesses were only $78 on ebay!!

I live in McKinney and we have 3rd Monday McKinney Trades Days too. I haven't been there in a long time either, and it's about a mile from my house. haha
